Dear *Sigmund Freud. Your Mom.

I had this dream last night. Again.

I thought about it and tried to find out if there's is maybe something inside of me, some secret wish or desire, that I am not aware of. I mean, even if it's really really unlikely.....you never know.

So I tried to be open to whatever my mind was going to tell me and sat down and thought about the dream, prepared for the worst......after like 15 minutes of intensive thinking and listening to my inner self it all came down to this :

*Freudian dream analysis(The Interpretation of Dreams,1899): Freud believed that every action and thought is motivated by our unconconscious at some level and that we hold back our urges and repress our impulses in order to live in a civilized society. One way these urges and impulses are released is through our dreams. The content of the unconscious may be extremely disturbing thats why Freud believed it expresses itself in a symbolic language.

say it with your mouth shut

And sometimes a song can say more than words ever could.

LARY SAYS: EXHIBITION PIECE

Larissa Sirah aka Lary Says, representing Düsseldorf, gathered femenine cultural elements to portray the pressure laid on contemporary women.

The silloute of a woman’s body, inspired from a Miss contest, was covered with texts:

“SLAVE TO THE CULTURE. CULTURE IS A SHARED SYSTEM OF BELIEVE AND VALUE. SPIRITUALITY. LANGUAGE. SOCIAL ACTIVITY. THOUGHT. CULTURE INFLUENCES & CREATES- FIND YOUR BALANCE. BECOME QUEEN OF YOUR MENTAL BLUE PRINT”

The head to this body, Larissa herself, covered by a crown, showed a video.

By pointing out herself within this context, it obviously is a self analysis showing the attempt of breaking out of the systems commandments.

_______

“SLAVE TO THE CULTURE. CULTURE IS A SHARED SYSTEM OF BELIEVE AND VALUE. SPIRITUALITY. LANGUAGE. SOCIAL ACTIVITY. THOUGHT. CULTURE INFLUENCES & CREATES- FIND YOUR BALANCE. BECOME QUEEN OF YOUR MENTAL BLUE PRINT”

yea...that was it. same video, different context. I thought it would be nice to actually transmit a message with my piece.dont know if it worked or if the people were just stunned by  the "associativity" of the video.

I just love the term "slave to culture" . I think in some way we all are. I dont  mean that in a bad way. It's just that it seems like that  the whole social media thing is becoming the major influence in many peoples life. If facebook was a state and the users it's citizen , it would be the 4th largest state in the world....

Most of our opinions, meanings and  values are generated through blog posts, facebook groups and twitter posts, through "I like" this and I share that and he posts that............instead through really living, experiencing, meeting people....like REAL interaction. And when we do, we keep checking our IPhone for updates.

Dont get me wrong, I'm not hating. I am on facebook and on twitter and I (obviously ) have a blog and I feel like I'm missing a leg when I forgot my phone at home. I'm a part of it all and I'm cool with it, cause there are also many positive aspects .

I'm just saying that I think it's important to be fully aware of the kind of power social media has or can have over our minds.....and then enjoy =)

some random pics of the launch . open bar, nice music...what can I say, we had a good time.

last night.

                                               I feel sexy.

I feel special. Loud and strong.

A little goofy, but unbreakable.

Not perfect but real.

Like a girl. Like a woman. Like me.

I love being a woman.

So what is it that you love ?

It's Valentine's day.

I won't dedicate this day to a specific person or to all the people I have love for and the ones that love me back. I dedicate this day to the energy of love to come and bless my life, cause I dont know who I would be without love. And I am grateful that love passed my way so many times and in so many ways in my young life.I think loving something and the passion that comes with it is what keeps you going and what drives you to become a better you.

So what is it that you love?

"If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.....
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.....
Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
